Kayla & Cole {engaged}

One of the great things about being a photographer is having the honor to document events in the lives of people.  Better yet, getting the pleasure to meet and know amazing people along the way.

I have witness that would testify to me saying I would no longer take traditional wedding photography.  Nothing against weddings, it was just me wanting to explore my photography horizons.

When my friend Deidra asked me about making a referral, my heart changed.  I remembered how amazing it is to be a part of something bigger than all of us.  God gave me a gift, one that I am beyond grateful for and blessed to have.

Kayla and Cole, thank you.  Thank you for making my time of knocking the rust off and getting back on the horse so remarkable and inspirational.  Thank you for allowing me to document one of life's best days.

Hold onto love as you ride off into the sunset as husband and wife.

Mother's Day Mini Session

I remember the day these sweet souls came into my life, they have always been so warm and welcoming!

My little Mother's Day gift to my newest sister was this last minute mini session with the kids.  Although ... maybe my motives were a little selfish ... who wouldn't want to look through a lens and capture these beauties?

Zayne @ 9 Days New

April 29, 2017

FINALLY got to get my hands on little Zayne today!  He had an amazing appetite for such a little guy ... I hope his mom Sarah got some much needed rest after I left!

I have to tell you about this little sweater and bonnet.  Sarah's Grandma made it for Sarah's dad to come home from the hospital in.  Sarah also came home from the hospital in it ... and now Zayne wore it home.  Great g'ma is going to love having this portrait!  Aren't family traditions awesome?

Sarah + Bob's wedding bands = extra touch of extra special.

Congratulations Bob and Sarah!

Welcome to the world Zayne, you are loved more than you can imagine.

Drew @ 18 Days New

March 26, 2017

Yesterday I had the pleasure of capturing a moment in the life of 18 day new Drew.

As I am restarting my paused photography endeavors, I appreciate Jessica and Justin allowing me to photograph precious Drew while I knock off some of my rust!

Jessica and Justin have welcomed Drew into a loving, happy, home and life.  I am so very proud of the both of you for the way you are enjoying each moment as it comes.

Jessica, you look so happy and relaxed ...

... and it's okay to be late.

I will be working on editing more portraits, but couldn't wait to show off this little guy!

Welcome to the world Drew!
